The Witcher 2 will put you through many dilemmas and will test your morals. This makes the Witcher 2 an extremely replayable game, but that is for a different subtopic. With plenty of character depth, death, betrayals, love, hate, and politics, there is room for choice and expression for any kind of gamer. I mean actual role-playing elements set in the Witcher universe. I am not talking about customization or building elements. The player has the freedom to choose how he or she plays the game. So why is the Witcher 2’s plot line so complex and why is that a good thing? There are quite a few factors that play into why it is like this.
The complexity of the Witcher 2’s story-line. I will however, attempt to do it for your amusement. In fact, I cannot even make a simple diagram to represent the complexity of the Witcher 2’s plot or story line. Fortunately, the Witcher 2 does not follow this kind of story writing, which is why it is generally reputed to be one the best RPG’s.
These are the kind of ideas you may find in badly written high school stories or kid books. This graph represents the map or formula for a linear story. What do I mean by this? Simple, I will show you a diagram below that could help explain it. I will also be explicit with the fact that The Witcher 2 does not have a linear plot. The plot is a critical component to consider when deciding if you should play the Witcher 2. It also shows that the developers have not abandoned this game, so you do not have to suffer the bugs that I might have suffered with back in 2011. This game is refined for your experience. Now you have the Enhanced edition, the Chinese update, and many other features and updates that have been included to the Witcher 2 over the years. In 2011, the title alone was already a trending topic. Of course, you do not have to run the game on ULTRA settings in order to play it, as it looks just as beautiful even on low. Its beauty comes from CD Projekt Red’s “ REDengine” which allows for compelling and jaw dropping scenery. The Witcher 2 was said to be ahead of its time, and I cannot agree with this statement enough. This includes RPG games such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Dragon Age 2 and such however, this certainly does not include the Witcher 2! Don’t believe me? Well then look at the in game video below!
